Day 01

Arrival in Srinagar

  • Arrive in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu & Kashmir.
  • Check-in to your hotel and relax after your journey.
  • Enjoy a Shikara ride on Dal Lake (optional) or take a leisurely stroll through the lush Mughal Gardens and Shalimar Bagh.
  • Dinner and overnight stay in Srinagar.
Day 02

Srinagar to Kargil (200 km)

  • After an early breakfast, check out and embark on a drive to Kargil.
  • Witness breathtaking views as you traverse the Zoji La Pass (3,528 meters).
  • En route, stop at Sonamarg, Drass, and the Kargil War Memorial, a tribute to the brave soldiers of the Kargil War.
  • Upon arrival in Kargil, check in to your hotel and take a short walk around the town.
  • Dinner and overnight stay in Kargil.
  • Visit Kargil Town.
Day 03

Kargil to Leh via Sham Valley (215 km)

  • Post breakfast, continue your journey to Leh via Sham Valley.
  • Visit Hall of Fame, a museum.
  • Experience Magnetic Hill, where vehicles appear to roll uphill.
  • Visit Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, a revered Sikh shrine.
  • Witness the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers at Sangam Point.
  • Arrive in Leh, check-in at the hotel, and explore Leh Market.

Day 04

Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La

  • After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass (5,359 meters), one of the highest motorable roads in the world.
  • Arrive in Hunder and check in at your hotel.
  • Explore the Hunder Sand Dunes and opt for a Bactrian camel safari (self-paid).
  • Visit Diskit Monastery and see the giant Buddha statue.
  • Dinner and overnight stay in Hunder.
Day 05

Nubra Valley to Turtuk and Back

  • After breakfast, embark on a drive to Turtuk.
  • Explore its unique Balti culture, visit Turtuk Monastery, and enjoy the stunning landscapes.
  • Return to Hunder by evening.

Day 06

Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shyok Valley

  • After breakfast, drive through the remote and rugged Shyok Valley en route to Pangong Lake.
  • Arrive at Pangong Tso, for its ever-changing hues of blue and green.
  • Spend a tranquil evening by the lake.
  • Overnight stay at Pangong (camp or guesthouse).
  • *Note : Due to its altitude and location, Pangong Lake do not have electricity at night. Travelers are recommended to be prepared for the same.
  • Visit Stargazing.
Day 07

Pangong Lake to Hanle

  • Begin your day early (7:00 AM) with breakfast, then prepare for your journey to Hanle.
  • Travel across the breathtaking Changthang Plateau, taking in the expansive barren terrain and tranquil village scenes along the way.
  • Reach Hanle by the afternoon (approximately 2:00 PM) and check in to your stay.
  • Explore Hanle Monastery to soak in its spiritual vibe, and visit the Indian Astronomical Observatory, one of the highest observatories in the world.
  • Spend some time unwinding amidst the calm and secluded beauty of this remote village.
  • Head back to your guesthouse or homestay for dinner.

Day 08

Umling La Pass Excursion (100 km)

  • Begin your day early and head towards Umling La Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world.
  • Enjoy drive and breathtaking landscapes.
  • Return to Hanle by evening.

Day 09

Hanle to Tso Moriri (158 km)

  • After breakfast, drive to Tso Moriri Lake, passing through Mahe Bridge and Chumathang Hot Springs.
  • Arrive at Tso Moriri and take in the beauty of this high-altitude lake.
  • Dinner and overnight stay in Tso Moriri.
Day 10

Tso Moriri to Leh (220 km)

  • After breakfast, start the return journey to Leh.
  • Drive through Puga Valley.
  • Arrive in Leh by evening and explore the local market or relax at your hotel.
  • Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.
  • Visit Leh Market.
Day 11

Departure from Leh

  • After breakfast, check out and transfer to Leh Airport.
