Say the word and we cost it
Routes in draft
These are the shapes we actually run. The rupee figure waits for your dates, because a May hotel and a December hotel are not the same trip.
Spiti via Kinnaur
A private circuit for people who would rather sleep in Sarahan and Kalpa than rush the Hindustan-Tibet road in one sitting. Best once the passes are properly open, usually June into October.
DAY 1–2 Shimla or Rampur side, then Sarahan and the Bhimakali temple before the climb to Kalpa.
DAY 3–4 Reckong Peo to Nako and Tabo. The night is in Tabo, not a drive-through photo of the mud monastery.
DAY 5–6 Kaza, Key, Kibber and a Hikkim or Langza morning if the group is fine at that height.
DAY 7–8 Out over Kunzum toward Chandratal when the road allows, then Manali and the overnight toward the plains.
Meghalaya, after the rain
Built around walking, not a checklist of waterfalls from the car. October to April is the cleaner window. Monsoon is beautiful and slower, and we say so before you book.
DAY 1 Guwahati to Umiam and Shillong. The first night is in Shillong so the hills are not a same-day dash.
DAY 2–3 Cherrapunji side: Nohkalikai if the cloud lifts, then a root-bridge walk with a local guide. The bridge day is the point of the trip.
DAY 4 Dawki and the Umngot. A boat only if the water is clear enough to be worth it.
DAY 5 Back toward Guwahati, with Mawlynnong added only when it does not crush the bridge day.
Sikkim, two bases
Gangtok and Pelling, with a spare half-day because the hill roads do not care about a tight sheet.
DAY 1 Bagdogra or New Jalpaiguri up to Gangtok. No sightseeing on arrival.
DAY 2 Tsomgo and Baba Mandir if the permit is through and the road is open. Otherwise Rumtek and a Gangtok walk.
DAY 3 Drive to Pelling. The Kanchenjunga viewpoint is an early morning, not an afternoon hope.
DAY 4–5 Pemayangtse and Rabdentse, then down to the airport or the station. Ravangla’s Buddha park fits only if Day 4 is not already a travel day.
Andaman, by the ferry clock
The islands are a ferry timetable with beaches attached. We book the boats before we promise the nights.
DAY 1 Port Blair. Cellular Jail in the evening, if you want the sound-and-light, rather than a rushed morning later.
DAY 2–3 Havelock. One beach day at Radhanagar and one slower morning. Scuba is an add-on with its own operator.
DAY 4 Neil Island for the quieter water. Natural Bridge only at the right tide.
DAY 5–6 Back to Port Blair with a buffer before the flight. We do not put you on a noon ferry for a same-day departure.
Tawang, with a spare day
Permits are part of the trip, and the Sela road can close. The draft keeps a day that can absorb that.
DAY 1–2 Guwahati to Bhalukpong, then Dirang. The night in Dirang is not optional on this plan.
DAY 3 Over Sela to Tawang, stopping at the lake only if the weather is safe to step out.
DAY 4 Tawang monastery and a local village walk. Madhuri Lake is a separate morning, not stacked onto the arrival day.
DAY 5–7 Back the same way, using the buffer if Sela has shut, and a last night that still makes the Guwahati flight.
Coorg and Chikmagalur
Coffee country for people who want estates and a viewpoint, not a tour of every abbey and waterfall in the district.
DAY 1 Bengaluru or Mysuru to Madikeri. Raja’s Seat at dusk is enough for the arrival day.
DAY 2 Abbey Falls if there is water, then a coffee estate walk. Dubare’s elephant camp is optional and not assumed.
DAY 3–4 Across to Chikmagalur. Mullayanagiri early the next morning, then back toward Bengaluru.
Mahabaleshwar long weekend
From Pune, for a family that has already done Lonavala and wants strawberries, a tableland and one quiet forest hour.
DAY 1 Pune to Mahabaleshwar. Wilson Point or a short sunset, then the hotel.
DAY 2 Mapro and the tableland in the morning. Venna Lake only if the group wants a boat.
DAY 3 Panchgani for the plateau walk, then the drive back to Pune.
Goa, north and south
A private week that spends more time in Panaji and the south than on a Saturday-night beach.
DAY 1 Arrival and Fontainhas on foot. Dinner in the Latin quarter, not a transferred beach party.
DAY 2 Old Goa’s churches in the morning, then a north beach when the sun is lower.
DAY 3–4 Shift south. Colva or Betalbatim for a swim, and a spice plantation inland if the group wants the shade.
DAY 5 A slow morning and the airport. We do not schedule a waterfall on departure day.
Ladakh, after you have slept
The first two nights stay in Leh. High passes come after that, and a day can be cut if someone is not acclimatising.
DAY 1–2 Fly into Leh. Shanti Stupa and the market only. No day trip on the landing day.
DAY 3 Sham valley: Likir or Alchi, and a short walk. Back to sleep in Leh.
DAY 4–5 Nubra over Khardung La, with the night in the valley. Diskit in the morning, then back.
DAY 6–7 Pangong for a night if the group is well, otherwise a same-day run and an earlier flight home.
